Our team has been working on a way to make our school safer
by stopping or reducing the bully rate at our school. We are also doing this to
help raise awareness because not many people take this subject serious and we
believe it’s a big deal and although we may not hear about it often is still a
problem. Our team has made some posters and we plan to post them around our
school campus as soon as we get the principle’s permission and hopefully many
people’s attention and possibly influence others to stop bullying.
In this blog and campaign, we are really trying to shine a
light on the world of bullying and harassment in school, work, and any place
where people should not feel threatened or uncomfortable. We feel that bullying
is being thought of as something that is no longer occurring, when in reality
it happens everyday. We want to show the evil world of bullying and its daily
victims. We are trying to put bullying and its enforcers on the hot seat and
really discover why such a thing happens. Overall, we are trying to make
bullying frowned upon by the members of our community.
In Boyle heights our community is very traditional our city
of Los Angeles is not a very wealthy place our schools and city is surround of
people or students been bullied, students in our school getting bullied around
and put into peer pressure. Students have missed school for the reason of them
getting bullied. Students around the U.S have committed suicide for bullying or
peer pressure.
We believe bullying is not taken as serious as it should be,
it happens behind closed doors right under the noses of authority. So we are
creating this blog to help shine some light on bullying and bring it to a
bigger level of awareness. We unanimously believe that bullying is wrong and we
realize that it happens everyday but not all of its suspect are punished for it
because we are at a time where authority believes bullying is a thing of the
past. So we want to build a higher level of awareness no matter how temporary
or small it may be.
Together with 5 people who share the common goal of bringing
bullying to justice and awareness. We will focus and work to bring up the
facts, solutions, and plans. We are creating this blog to let anyone look at
this and create a bigger audience. Each one of us plays a significant role and
together we are creating this awareness on bullying.
